Saf formation requires active Rab7 and Ra1b GTPases. (A) CHO cells stably expressing GFP-Rab7 were transfected with RFP-LC3 and infected with S. aureus wt for 1 h. (B) CHO cells were co-transfected with GFP-Rab1b and RFP-LC3 and subsequently infected with S. aureus wt for 1 h. Colocalisation analysis of image A and B was performed using Image J to determine Mander's Overlap Coefficient (MOC) and Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC). (C) CHO cells stably expressing GFP-Rab7 T22N were transfected with RFP-LC3 and infected with S. aureus wt for 1 h.
