Inhibition of estrogen conjugation by genistein. The kinetics of (A–C) E1 sulfation, (D–F) E2 sulfation and (G–I) E2 glucuronidation were calculated following incubation of MCF-7 cells with 10 to 100 nM E1 for 48 h in the presence (1–10 μM) and absence of genistein. Data is displayed in Michaelis–Menten, Lineweaver–Burk and Ki value plots. All data represent the means ± SD of four independent biological replicates.
