Table 3. HR of frailty for composite adverse outcomes.
Variables | HR (95% CI) | P value |
---|---|---|
Univariate analysis | ||
Frailty (yes vs. no) | 4.03 (0.96–16.93) | 0.057 |
Multivariate analysis | ||
Frailty (yes vs. no) | 23.58 (1.61–346.03) | 0.021 |
Age (per 1 yr increase) | 1.09 (0.94–1.27) | 0.262 |
Sex (women vs. men) | 0.27 (0.03–2.42) | 0.243 |
Diabetes (yes vs. no) | 0.08 (0.01–0.60) | 0.013 |
BMI (per 1 kg/m2 increase) | 1.75 (1.08–2.85) | 0.023 |
Time of predialytic nephrologic care (per 1 mon increase) | 0.99 (0.96–1.01) | 0.330 |
HR was calculated by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis. In multivariate analysis, the covariates were age and variables with P < 0.100 in univariate analysis for either frailty or composite adverse outcome.
HR = hazard ratio, CI = confidence interval, BMI = body mass index.
