HNG recovers SH-SY5Y cell viability and inhibits apoptosis in OGD/R. SH-SY5Y cells were subjected to OGD/R processes following the procedures of culture in medium with deprivation of glucose and serum in a hypoxic condition (0.5% O₂) for 16 h, and then incubation in normoxic conditions in normal medium for an additional 9 h. In OGD/R processes, the cells were incubated with doses of HNG (0.01–10 µg/l).
