Overexpression of EGOT in glioma cells increased the protein levels of caspase-3, caspase-9 and cyt c. Western blot analysis revealed that when U251 and U87 cells were transfected with EGOT plasmid, the expression of caspase-3, caspase-9 and cyt c was markedly increased.
