This suggests that both Bsal, if present, and Bd are at low prevalence in pet collections in the U.S. Probability of detecting at least one positive individual assuming prevalence was p = 0.01 was calculated with the following equation D = 1-(1-p)n after incorporating our confidence in DNA quality (see Methods).
