DUSP5 and DUSP6 expression in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue before and after long‐term exercise. Control (n = 13) and dysglycemic (n = 11) men performed an acute bout of exercise (45 min, 70% VO 2max) at baseline and after 12 weeks of exercise. Skeletal muscle biopsies (A and B) were taken before (pre), immediately after (0 h), and 2 h after the acute bout. Adipose tissue biopsies (C and D) were taken 30–60 min after exercise. mRNA expression of DUSP5 (A and C) and DUSP6 (B and D) was assessed by RNA‐seq.
