CD4+ T cell intrinsic galectin-1-deficiency promotes CD4+ T cell IFNγ production in the liver. Mixed bone marrow (BM) CD45.1/Lgals1−/− (90:10) chimeras were generated as shown. Mice were infected with Leishmania donovani 3 months after BM engraftment (A). The frequencies of IFNγ-producing CD4+ T cells, Tr1 cells, and Treg cells in the liver were measured at day 14 p.i. (B).
