Treatment with anti-LFA-1 increases tissue parasitemia. A/Sn mice were immunized with ASP-2 using the heterologous “prime-boost” vaccination regimen, infected with 150 trypomastigotes forms of Trypanosoma cruzi and treated with anti-LFA-1 or isotype control until the 20th after infection. In this day, spleens, hearts, and livers of this mice were taken for quantification of the parasite DNA and count of amastigote nests in the heart.
