Note. Fifty micrograms ALDH1A1 was pre-incubated with either inhibitors citral, disulfiram, and cyanamide (10 µM to 25,600 µM) or the activator diethylstilbestrol (10 µM to 3200 µM) for 5 min, and then a reaction mixture containing 100 mM sodium pyrophosphate (pH 8.0), 1 mM dTT, 2 mM NAD⁺, and 1 mM propionaldehyde was added. The enzymatic activity of ALDH1A1 was monitored at 340 nm for 5 min by spectrophotometer. IC₅₀ for citral, disulfiram, and cyanamide and EC₅₀ for DES were calculated.
