The number of duets, pseudo-duets and solo songs given by magpie-larks (n = 8 males and 7 females) in 30 min (a) before, (b) during and (c) after the nesting period. Duets were songs given by the male and female; pseudo-duets were songs consisting of two motif types but given by one individual; and solos were songs given by one individual and consisting of one motif type.
