In vivo 1H MR spectroscopic analysis of brain metabolites. (A) Representative spectra obtained and close-up views of the spectral region encompassing the Cho, Cr and NAA peaks for the control, 6, 12 and 24 h groups. The peaks used in the calculation of the ratios are markedly visible at 3.03 and 2.02 ppm for total Cr and NAA, respectively. (B) Average values ± SEM of the peak value ratios of NAA to total Cr in each group. We observed a significant reduction in NAA/Cr ratio. A statistically significant difference between the indicated group and the control group (*p<0.05). A statistically significant difference between the indicated group and the 6 h group (#p<0.05).
