Behavioral paradigm. During the encoding phase, participants viewed one object image from each of 96 object categories and made a size judgment (bigger or smaller than a shoebox?). During the retrieval phase, participants viewed targets and lures from each of the categories from study. Within each category, the target could be presented before the lure (T1 condition) or the lure could be presented before the target (L1 condition). Participants made recognition judgments using the adapted Remember-Know-New response paradigm.
