Uptake of CR-KP NSSTI isolates by murine macrophage-like cells. KP strains were incubated with the murine macrophage-like cell line J774.A1 at an MOI of 10. At 1 h post-infection, amikacin was added to the medium, and cells were incubated for 1 h to eradicate extracellular bacteria. The number of intracellular bacteria was then measured by lysing the eukaryotic cells and plating for viable CFUs. The results are expressed as a percentage of the inoculum, and the means and standard deviations are indicated. p values were derived from comparisons of each group to the MGH78578 group via one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni’s multiple comparison correction (*P < 0.05). Each symbol represents the mean of an assay performed in triplicate. Results were combined from three independent experiments.
