Fig 5. S. senegalensis sperm caspase detection after cryopreservation.
Caspase detection by flow cytometry under the best CPA conditions: dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) dimethyl formamide (DMF) supplemented with 10% egg yolk (EY).Thawed sperm was stained with Caspase 3/7 Green (FL2-H) and 7-ADD (FL3-H) fluorochromes (530/30 BP and a 690/50 BP fluorescence emission filters). The percentages of early apoptosis, late apoptosis, necrosis and viable cells were expressed as the means ± SE of three independent experiments with 3 pools of 10 individual males for each. The Student’s t-test between the two best CPA conditions was performed. Asterisks show significant (p<0.05) differences between treatments.
