(A) Tumor bearing mice were given metformin (Metf), 10058-F4 or metformin combination with 10058-F4 (Metf+10058-F4), then the tumor volume was measured every other day. (B-D) The tumors of various groups were resected after 14 days of treatment, the weight (B), size (C), and hemoglobin level (D) were measured. (E) Immunohistochemical analysis of vascularization by staining tumor tissue sections with anti-CD31 antibody and quantification of microvessel density (scale bar 20 μm). (F) The relative mRNA levels of JAK, STAT3 and c-MYC in tumor tissues of the metformin group and control group were determined by qRT-PCR. (G) The expression levels of indicated proteins in tumor tissues were detected by Western blot.
