Mice were infused with [1,6-13C2]glucose for 10 min. The concentration of 13C labeled amino acids were measured in tissue extracts in 13C edited spectrum using [2-13C]glycine as standard. Values are presented as mean ± SEM. ∗p < 0.05, ∗∗p < 0.001 when AlCl3+CMC animals were compared with Control+CMC, and #p < 0.01, ##p < 0.01 when AlCl3+RS mice were compared with AlCl3+CMC.
