Mice were infused with [1,6-¹³C₂]glucose for 10 min. The concentration of ¹³C labeled amino acids were measured in tissue extracts in ¹³C edited spectrum using [2-¹³C]glycine as standard. Values are presented as mean ± SEM. ^∗p < 0.05, ^∗∗p < 0.001 when AlCl₃+CMC animals were compared with Control+CMC, and ^#p < 0.01, ^##p < 0.01 when AlCl₃+RS mice were compared with AlCl₃+CMC.
