Increasing concentrations of cycloheximide results in a dose-dependent decrease in hCVAM antimicrobial activity. While the lowest concentration of cycloheximide had negligible effect, increasing concentrations of cycloheximide inhibited hCVAM antimicrobial activity. Cycloheximide at all concentrations tested did not affect P. aeruginosa growth in the absence of hCVAM (data not shown).
