Curiosity rover in cleanroom facilities at JPL‐Caltech on 4 April 2011 with the locations of the Mastcam and MARDI camera heads and Mastcam calibration target indicated. The digital electronics assembly (DEA) hardware for these cameras is housed inside the rover body in a thermally controlled environment. In this view, support equipment is holding the rover slightly off the floor. When the wheels are on the ground, the top of Curiosity's mast is about 2.2 m above ground level.
