(C and D) Double staining with Annexin V-FITC and PI was used to assess apoptosis after miR-198 transfection for 48 h. The results revealed that the apoptotic rate in the miR-198 group was higher than that of the control groups; *p<0.05. (E and F) Flow cytometric analysis of the cell cycle revealed that the miR-198 group had a lower proportion of S phase cells and a higher proportion of G2/M phase cells than in the control groups, which means that upregulation of miR-198 may cause cell cycle arrest, *p<0.05.
