In silico analysis of the role of rs3024997 on splicing. For rs3024997 (G > A), the Human Splicing Finder prediction algorithm supports the activation of an intronic cryptic acceptor site and thus, potential alteration of splicing. Yet, the RESCUE ESE, EIEs, PESE Octamers, ESE Finder-SRp40, and ESR Sequences prediction algorithms suggest the creation of an exonic splicing enhancer, probably, with no impact on splicing. The graphic representation of the region confirms individual outcomes per algorithm considered, each one corresponding at a different color and length.
