Correlation between BMI and loss of body mass. The correlation between baseline BMI and loss of total body mass (TBM), lean body mass (LBM), and fat mass (FM), respectively, after 12 weeks. Data is presented with the individual data as well as an approximated best fitted line for visual interpretation. Baseline BMI was correlated with loss of TBM (rs = 0.66; p < 0.001) and FM (rs = 0.81; p < 0.001), respectively, thus, patients with the highest baseline BMI lost the most. There was no correlation between baseline BMI and loss of LBM.
