(A) WA is located on the western seaboard of Australia whilst VIC is located on the south-eastern seaboard of the continent. Each black dot corresponds to one IMD case and the location is shown based on the postcode provided by the patient. The map is colour-coded based on climatic zones. (B) Analysis of the raw reads from 131 isolates from VIC and 70 isolates from WA identified 79 STs belonging to 15 different clonal complexes (cc) and 3 STs which were not assigned to any known clonal complex.
