Fig. 4 — Effects of PRex pretreatment on iNOS (a), IL-1β (b), and TNF-α (c) in the brains of MCAO-injured mice. PRex pretreatment significantly decreased iNOS level in the mouse model of ischemic brain stroke (a). Representative western blots and quantitative analysis of iNOS expression show the effect of PRex on iNOS expression in brain tissue. The IL-1β and TNF-α levels were measured by using a commercially available ELISA kit. The results are presented as the mean ± SD. ^###p < 0.001 vs sham control group, *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.001 vs MCAO control group; n = 8 in each group
