Unit cells of the considered cubic metal halide perovskites CsBX₃ (B = Sn, Ge; X = I, Br, Cl) as compared with Pb-based compounds CsPbX₃ (X = I, Br, Cl). Replacement of halogen atoms is showing from left to right while the replacement of Pb is showing from top to bottom. The molecular models are optimized by DFT calculations.
