Murine primary lung fibroblasts (PLFs) were treated in vitro ± alcohol (Alc; 60 mM) ± sulforaphane (SFP; 5μM), total protein was isolated at 72 hours for Western immunoblot analyses. (A) Alcohol treatment increased total STAT3 protein expression, and addition of SFP normalized STAT3 expression. (B) Alcohol treatment increased Tyr 705 phosphorylated STAT3, while SFP treatment suppressed it.
