KLF11 KO mice and WT controls (n=8) were subjected to 1h MCA occlusion and 24h reperfusion. BBB leakage and quantitative analysis were made by Evans Blue (A–B) or 70 kDa TMR-Dextran extravasation (C–D) in mouse brains. Genetic deficiency of KLF11 in mice significantly aggravated ischemia-induced BBB disruption by increasing cerebrovascular permeability to either Evans Blue or TMR-Dextran in comparison with wild-type mice.
