The effect of lactobacilli on the adhesion of C. perfringens to cells and the cytotoxicity induced by C. perfringens. Cells were pretreated with L. acidophilus or L. fermentum with multiplicity of infection (MOI) at 10 for 3 h and then infected with C. perfringens (MOI = 1) for 1 h.
