The cytotoxicity and cytokine mRNA expression in the C. perfringens-infected cells pretreated with lactobacilli. Cells were pre-incubated with L. acidophilus or L. fermentum (MOI = 1) for 2 h and then stimulated with C. perfringens (MOI = 0.1) for 6 h. Following infection, LDH released from cells to culture medium were detected (A). The mRNA expression of IL-6 (B), IL-8 (C), iNOS (D), LITAF (E) and IL-1β (F) were determined by qRT-PCR analysis.
