The inflammatory infiltrate were quantitated in captured images of two tissue sections of 6 μm, obtained at an interval of 60 μm for each organ stained with H&E. The morphometric analysis was performed using the ImageJ software, as described in Material and Methods section. Tissue samples were obtained from mice injected with various ArtinM doses, LPS (positive controls), or PBS (negative controls). Inflammatory cells were counted and represented as number of inflammatory cells/cm². The results are expressed as mean ± SD, and the differences were considered significant when p < 0.05 (*) compared to the PBS control group.
