Fig. 1.
Experimental layout for integrated and spectral terahertz measurements. Broadband terahertz radiation is generated from the liquid in the cuvette via laser-induced filamentation. The terahertz radiation is collected and collimated by an off-axis parabola (OAP1) filtered by a silicon filter (SF). The terahertz beam is then focused onto a PED by OAP2 at focus F1 for integrated measurements. A combination of filters is used before PED to minimize mid-IR radiation. A wire-grid polarizer can be inserted between OAP1 and OAP2, for terahertz polarization measurements. For spectrum measurements, the PED is removed from F1, and the terahertz beam is steered using OAP3 into a Michelson interferometer (consisting of mirrors M1, M2, and pellicle beam-splitter BS) for FAC measurements using the same PED placed at F2 (focus of OAP4)
