PTA score: Addition of one point each for symptoms like halitosis, trismus, uvula edema, unilateral swelling of the arched palate, and S100A8/A9 levels in serum and saliva higher than the cut-off values results in a score with a range from 0 to 6. High SPTA values are associated with an increased probability of PTA.
