The release of LXA₄ is reduced in Leishmania major-infected PMN. PMN were infected with L. major promastigotes for 300 minutes. During the last 90 min of infection 10 ng/ml GM-CSF was added. L. major-infected and uninfected neutrophils were coincubated with HT-29 cells and stimulated with ionomycin (1.0 μM) for 10 (a) or 360 (b) min.
