In vitro degradation of the nanoparticles under 8 mM GSH at 37 °C and pH 7.2. For mesoporous nanoparticles, surface and bulk erosion started fromat day 1, followed by higher degradation after day 15 due to high surface area. Nonporous nanoparticles showed surface erosion within 15 days. As evident in control images, degradation of these nanoparticles was not observable in the absence of GSH after 15 days.
