Study design. MEFs were treated with carcinogens in early passage and cultivated until senescence bypass. The resulting cell lines were subjected to WES on an Illumina HiSeq2500 sequencer and data were analyzed using the indicated pipeline. Sequence variants were systematically analyzed to identify cancer driver-like events, which were further investigated in functional assays with the help of small molecule inhibitors.
