Different patterns of activity, and associated percepts, evoked under small, intermediate, and large ΔF values, and slow and fast PR conditions are depicted, as indicated. The PS model predicts a dip in between tonotopic activity patterns elicited by A and B tones under stimulus conditions wherein tone sequences are perceived as two separate streams.
