Kaplan-Meier (A) relapse-free survival (RFS) and (B) overall survival (OS) curves from women with triple negative breast cancer according to Hedgehog (HH) and Wnt pathway activation. Patients were divided into three groups: no activation of HH or Wnt, only one pathway activated or both pathways activated. Co-activation of HH and canonical Wnt pathways resulted in poor patient outcome. Patients with both pathways activated had an increased risk for early recurrence and decreased overall survival when compared to patients with only one pathway activated. Patients with neither pathway activated had a 100% survival rate and no evidence of recurrence.
