Figure 7

Cigarette smoke (CS) exposed CD4+CD25 T cells from lung draining lymph node migrated into colon of IL-10−/− mice. WTEGFP mice were exposed to CS or air for 4 weeks. On day 27, CD4+CD25 T cells were isolated from lung draining lymph node and adoptively transferred via i.v. into IL-10−/− mice. Three days after adoptive transfer (AT), the mice were sacrificed and cell populations were analyzed from mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs), spleen, lung, and lung draining lymph nodes. The population of CD4+ T cells in (A) the MLNs, (B) spleen, (C) lung, and (D) lung draining lymph node. (E) CD4+EGFP T cells in the colon were observed by confocal microscopy. White arrows indicate GFP (CD4+EGFP T cells). Data are shown as the mean ± SEM, and p value was estimated by unpaired t test (**p < 0.01 and not significant; ns).
