The first principal component of variance changes over time displays the characteristic increase in amplitude from the start to the end of the scan (temporal weights shown in panel B). The spatial weights for this principal component are shown in panel A, and demonstrate that this effect is mostly localised to the primary visual and primary sensorimotor regions.
