Changes seen in liver tissue samples were scored as none, light, moderate, and significant, as described (108). The non-parametric Mann–Whitney’s test was applied to data, with results given as mean and median values. Significant differences are indicated; n ≥ 12 per group. Data previously published by Zimecki et al. (108).
