Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) converts plasminogen to plasmin, which dissolve the fibrin in the blood clot. Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) and Tissue Factor (TF) are procoagulant by inhibiting plasminogen activators and increasing fibrin, respectively [34].
