Knockout of CgMK1 affects the expression of three melanin biosynthesis-related genes. RT-PCR was used for analyzing the transcript levels of the ΔCgMK1 mutants and wild-type cultured on PDA for 4 days. Transcript levels of PKS1, SCD1, and THR1 are expressed in ΔCgMK1 mutants relative to those of the wild-type. The Cg18S gene served as an internal reference for the analysis. Error bars represent the standard deviations based on three independent replicates with four technical replicates each. The data were performed by using the Duncan’s range test. Asterisks mean statistically significant differences at P = 0.05.
