Estimates from successive impedance matches with analytical error propagation dominated by the uncertainty in projectile velocity. A 2 mm thick Ta flier launched at 988 ± 162 m s−1 impacted, in sequence, a 5 mm thick SS304 driver, a 1 mm Ta capsule lid, an 0.5 mm thick olivine crystal, an 0.5 mm thick CuAl5 alloy layer, and a 2 cm thick Ta inner screw.
