Effect of STM on mitochondrial membrane potential and antioxidant systems in HepG2 cells. Cells were treated with indicated concentrations of STM in the presence or absence of NAC for 24 h and were analyzed by spectrophotometer for the analysis of (A) mitochondrial membrane potential (B) intracellular level of GSH and (C) TrxR activity according to instructions of kits. (D) Intracellular level of TrxR was determined by western blot. Data are expressed as mean ± SD of three independent experiments. Columns not sharing the same superscript letters differ significantly (p<0.05).
