Table 5.

Evaluation of normal lung V5, dose to 1000 cc of total normal lung tissue and dose to <0.35cc of spinal cord in SBRT lung plans calculated by iPlan XVMC algorithm. First 5 patients had dose delivery schema of total 54 Gy in 3 fractions, and remaining 15 patients with 50 Gy in 5 fractions.

Normal lung V5 values ranged from 4.4% to 35% (mean=17.2%±9.2%).

Note: No minor deviation from RTOG 0915 dosimetric criteria was observed for spinal cord dose and total dose to 1000 cc of normal lung. For all patients, the dose to <5cc of esophagus and dose to <15cc of heart were all well below the RTOG requirement, therefore, we did not include those parameters in this table. RTOG minor deviation criteria for dose to <0.35cc of spinal cord >20.8Gy, dose to 1000 cc of total normal lung tissue >12.8Gy, dose to <5cc of esophagus >18.8Gy, and dose to <15cc of heart >28Gy.

PTV = planning target volume; V5=percentage of total normal lung minus ITV receiving dose equals to 5 Gy or more; AVG = average; STDEV = standard deviation.
