Rate of CO₂ assimilation in WT and mutant lines. Net CO₂ assimilation rate (A_N) was determined in leaves of plants grown under long-day photoperiod (4 wk), which were dark-adapted and then illuminated with a PAR of 125 μE m⁻²⋅s⁻¹. Six leaves were measured per line, and mean values ± SE are presented. Letters indicate significant differences by Tukey test at a 99.9% CI.
