CgDTR1 confers resistance to weak acids in C. glabrata. Comparison of the susceptibility of KUE100 C. glabrata wild-type (♦) and Δcgdtr1 (■) deletion mutant strain to cultivation in the presence of 100 mM acetic acid or of 2 mM benzoic acid in BM liquid medium, pH 4.5, in comparison to control conditions, measured in terms of variation of Optical Density at 600nm (OD600nm). The inocula were prepared as described in the materials and methods section. Growth curves are representative of at least three independent experiments.
