Disorganized outer spiral bundles were evident in cochleae of the Nrp1^fl/fl;Pax2^Cre mice (P5) in the basal turn (n = 3 per group). The arrow shows disorganized outer spiral bundles (B). TUJ1 immunostaining of the SGN fibers extending into the inner and outer hair cell regions in 4-month-old Nrp1^fl/fl;Pax2^Cre mutants revealed aberrant axons with abnormal innervation of the OHCs.
