(A, B) CCK-8 assays were performed in HepG2 and Bel7402 cells after exposure to increasing doses of celastrol for 24 hours, and after exposure to 1.25 μM celastrol for 24-96 hours. (C) Clonogenic cell survival assays in HepG2 and Bel7402 treated for 1 hour with 1.25, 2.5 and 5 μM of celastrol prior to washout, *P < 0.05, student's t-test. (D) HepG2 and Bel7402 cells were cultured with 1.25 and 2.5 μM celastrol for 24 hours. The cell cycle was determined by flow cytometry after fixation and propidium iodide staining, *P < 0.05, student's t-test.
