LNCaP cells were embedded in 1–8 mgml⁻¹ Matrigel. Note that at matrix concentrations of 3 mgml⁻¹ or less, cells tend sink to the bottom of the well. Note that at concentrations of 4 mgml⁻¹ or higher, an even distribution of the spheroids in the matrix is observed. Also, spheroids in 4 mgml⁻¹ Matrigel and higher appear to be more rounded.
